What Happened?

Falkirk Recovery was contacted by the owner of a BMW X3 that had been parked up for some time after developing multiple faults.

The vehicle was being stored at a work address in Bellshill but unfortunately had overstayed its welcome and needed to be moved. To make matters more challenging, the customer had lost the keys, the doors were locked, the automatic gearbox was stuck in park and the electronic handbrake remained engaged.

Due to the condition of the vehicle, specialist recovery equipment was required to safely recover and transport it without causing any damage.

How We Helped

Our recovery operator attended the vehicle in Bellshill and carried out a full assessment before beginning the recovery process.

Using specialist recovery equipment including Brother Straps and Slippy Jim Skates, we were able to carefully manoeuvre and load the BMW X3 onto our recovery truck despite the vehicle being immobilised.

Once safely secured, the vehicle was transported from Bellshill to the customer's home address in Motherwell and unloaded safely onto the driveway. The recovery was completed successfully without causing any damage to the vehicle.
