Tight Access for the Recovery Truck

Getting our recovery truck into the hospital car park was one of the most challenging parts of this job.

The entrance and exit barriers provide plenty of room for normal cars and vans, but they definitely weren't designed with a 7.5-tonne recovery truck in mind!

Careful manoeuvring was required to get through the restricted entrance and position the recovery truck close enough to the broken-down Transit for safe loading.

Once in position, we were able to prepare the vehicle for recovery despite the limited space available.

Because the clutch had failed, the Transit couldn't simply be driven onto the recovery truck.

The vehicle was carefully loaded onto our tilt-and-slide recovery bed using controlled recovery equipment before being properly secured for transport.

Despite the restricted access and limited working space, the Ford Transit Tipper Recovery Larbert was completed safely and the vehicle was soon ready for its journey to Grangemouth.

With the Transit securely loaded, we transported it from Larbert Hospital down to M.R. Vehicle Repairs in Grangemouth.

The vehicle was delivered to Jordan so he could work his magic, investigate the clutch failure and hopefully get the Transit back on the road as quickly as possible.
